  1. I think the most important thing about childbirth is that mother and baby are safe and healthy. While C-sections are overused, they are extremely necessary in some cases and medical advances have greatly reduced mortality in childbirth. I think that, like many aspects of parenting, discussion is good and everyone would benefit from communities of mothers/midwifes/doctors/nurses that talk honestly and non-judgmentally about options.
